Cycling for Change began in 2010 with a 100-day bike ride across the country raising money and awareness of poverty in America. Cycling for Change has continued its journey with a 7 day journey in 2011 through Northwest Missouri and this year to Joplin.
Poverty in America is a moral and social crisis. It threatens the health and economic well-being of our families and our nation as a whole. In response to this crisis, Catholic Charities USA and its member agencies have launched the Campaign to Reduce Poverty in America.
Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph is committed to these collective efforts of reducing poverty and has focused its strategic plan, advocacy and fundraising efforts to the Campaign.
