The St. Anthony of Padua Society was established to bring together people who share an intrinsic desire to serve others, especially the poor.
The society is named for St. Anthony of Padua, a patron saint of the poor. St. Anthony was devoted to the elderly, expectant mothers, the lost and despairing, the hungry and homeless - the very people Catholic Charities helps each day. Interestingly, one of the first ministries of Catholic Charities in Kansas City was the St. Anthony Home for Infants, a safe refuge for pregnant women and their babies.
Members of the St. Anthony of Padua Society:
make a difference in our community
meet Catholics and people of other faiths who share a passion for service
support the good work provided by Catholic Charities for those in need
enjoy fellowship for a good cause
