Call Specialist for Homeless Prevention/Rapid Rehousing - Kansas City
Volunteers are needed with good phone skills to screen potential participants in the Homeless Prevention - Rapid Rehousing Program located at St Therese Little Flower Parish. The purpose of HPRP is to provide homelessness prevention assistance to households would otherwise become homeless – many due to the economic crisis – and to provide assistance to rapidly re-house persons who are homeless. Volunteers must be able to demonstrate empathy, while screening callers and refer them to other providers if they are not eligible for HPRP. Training provided.
Emergency Needs Specialists for TurnAround - Kansas City
The TurnAround Program provides basic services to persons leaving prison and their families as the offender prepares for re-entry into the community. Volunteers needed to perform intake of new clients needed emergency assistance and provide information for referral services and advocacy as needed. A bachelor’s degree in human services or criminal justice or a related field with three to five years’ experience is required.
