Catholic Social Ministry Association (CSMA)The Catholic Social Ministry Association is an independent network of 39 Catholic parishes and organizations dedicated to promoting the Catholic Social Teachings through the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph and beyond. Through education, organizational development, and grass roots participation, the Association aims to support parish and community groups in responding to local issues, in particular, those issues which promote dignity of the human person and the common good of the community. The CSMA works in collaboration with Catholic Charities in the distribution of resources by providing food, rent and/or utilities in parishes and assistance sites. By providing information and referral sources based on geographic locale, the CSMA reaches people in need from convenient neighborhood locations.
