Foreclosure Intervention Counseling

Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph is a HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency. The foreclosure intervention counseling program is designed to assist persons facing foreclosure through advocacy and mediation.

The program assists homeowners with:

• mortgage delinquency counseling
• mediation with mortgage company
• understanding mortgage terms and conditions
• budgeting
• advocating for a workable solution

Qualifications

Participants must live in the greater Kansas City, St. Joseph, or Joplin/Springfield areas and:

• currently have some type of income
• are concerned about making mortgage payments on their current residence

A HUD certified foreclosure intervention counselor will see clients by appointment only. There is no cost to the homeowner.
