Senior Express Transportation Program
Catholic Charities recognizes and respects the concerns of senior adults and their family members in regard to their ability to safely continue driving in their golden years. Kansas Citians rely significantly on their cars, and so giving up driving is especially difficult for senior adults. Lack of transportation affects physical, mental and social well-being - even the nutritional needs of senior adults.
Catholic Charities proudly sponsors Senior Express, an innovative door-to-door transportation program for older adults who live independently in their homes. The program currently serves people 65+ living in south Kansas City, Missouri, who are able to walk but unable to use public transportation.
