St. Michael’s Veterans Campus is uniquely designed to offer safe, permanent housing combined with support services to enable ― and empower ― a successful transition to productive and healthy civilian living.
Split into multiple development phases, St. Michael’s will ultimately consist of three apartment buildings providing housing for approximately 180 homeless or at-risk veterans. It will also include 10,000 square feet of office space designed to deliver supportive services and case management that’s focused on long-term success and better outcomes. Residential apartments provide the safe, secure living environment to promote self-reliance that’s sustainable. Supportive services respond to the broader spectrum of needs from treatment coordination, counseling and employment training to nutrition, health and wellness, among other services.
Permanent housing is the anchor for St. Michael’s, but the coordinated services provided by Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph and its community partners is equally important for long-term, positive outcomes.
