Tax Benefits

Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph leads Missouri in providing emergency assistance to those in need. On average, 320 people visit our agency each week, seeking help with housing, transportation and feeding their families.

We are asking for your help during this end of year giving season to inform your clients about Catholic Charities and the three tax-advantaged tools we offer. If your client is inspired to help those living in poverty, we ask you recommend us.

How Catholic Charities Helps the Community:
⋅ Emergency assistance provided daily, in the form of food, clothing, hygiene items, and transportation
⋅ Housing assistance for Veterans and seniors, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
⋅ Weekly workshops and computer skills training for job seekers in the Workforce Development program
⋅ Support of former offenders and case management services to those recently incarcerated
⋅ Coordination of adoption services and support of women through program for children and families

Of the 32,000 people served last year, 82 percent are not of the Catholic faith, 33 percent are former offenders and 9 percent are veterans.
